Sticky Monster Lab #SML for #STGCC2016

I’ve been chopping at the bits to know what South Korea’s Sticky Monster Lab will be bringing to this weekend’s Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Con / STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016), and seen from their showcase at yesterday’s Media Preview, they’ll have their Redmon Plush, Dissected XXRAY collectibles (with Mighty Jaxx) and promotional popcorn holders from their collaboration in their hometown!

Dissected XXRAYs from Jason Freeny x Mighty Jaxx seen at #STGCC2016 Media Preview

Showcased at yesterday’s Media Preview for this weekend’s Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Con / STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016), where an array of collectibles from Mighty Jaxx, which included the Shadow Edition of Huck Gee’s GOLD LIFE characters (posted HERE), and their XXRAY selection - with Jason Freeny - who will be present at the con this weekend, hosted by MJ themselves!

Featured collectibles include the MICRO RAINBOW ANATOMIC (first featured HERE), and the Villains Wave One set of The Joker, Deathstroke and Black Manta (first featured HERE), AND the trio of exclusive color tinted heroes - featuring Batman, Green Lantern (first featured HERE) and the awesome scarlet FLASH!

Head on to the Mighty Jaxx Booth H3 this weekend to sate your art toy needs :)

JonPaul Kaiser In Singapore for #STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11)

Spotted at yesterday’s Media Preview for this weekend’s STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016) was British artist and toy-designer JonPaul Kaiser - an Invited Artist to this year’s Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Con. Shown here are images of his live painting showcase, customising a black blank Munny!




Folks are to look out for the art toy customs (previewed below) - including the spectacular 20-inch tall FAD Dunny (originally designed by J*RYU / WIP first reviewed HERE), at his booth in Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Level B2, Halls E & F, AND his Skullhead Samurai release with Pobber.

Skullhead Samurai by JPK x Huck Gee x Pobber for #STGCC2016

Featured above is a photo of SKULLHEAD SAMURAI (left) and TWISTED BART by Coté Escrivá (on right / Photo by Elizabeth Lee S.B.) - both exclusives from Pobber Toys, to be available exclusively at Booth AA83,85.

The Samurai character collectible features a bodyform designed by JonPaul Kaiser with the skull head design by Huck Gee - both gentlemen of whom are Invited Guests for this year’s Singapore Toy Games & Comic Con / STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016) and will be signing at the booth on Saturday (Timing TBC).

Since the unpainted prototype seen at STGCC last year, this vinyl piece stands at a majestic 9-inch tall and features 5 points of articulation, and comes complete with a katana. No prices revealed at this time tho … The image below is a WIP color sample (that’s why it looks darker than the figure shown above?), but showcases the figure’s back of helmet, and looks pretty darn amazing! Don’t you think? :)

ACORN & OCTO EXPLORERS for #STGCC2016

The “Exploratory Brigade” has brand new members to introduce to folks coming to this weekend’s Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Con / STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016), with the introduction of TWO new inductees revealed here today, which featured collaborations with Singapore’s Daniel Yu, with Taiwan’s Fanny Kao and China’s Cacooca!

Debuting is the above featured NEW colorway of the ACORN EXPLORER (previous) with Fanny - featuring an Acorn head on Daniel’s Lunar Creep body, purchasable at the Genesis4 Booth AA89&90!

Shown below is OCTO EXPLORER featuring a new head sculpt from Cacooca (from his "Cacooca Zoo" series), plus a peek at the header-card art, with this pre-painted resin collectible made available for pre-orders also at Booth AA89&90 in Artist Alley!

MonsterLittle & Dino @ #STGCC2016

ZiQi Wu of Monster Little has unveiled peeks at his next vinyl collectible, from Unbox Industries! This 10cm/4-inch tall cutie is named “Dino” and has since evolved from resin to now vinyl! Shown here are the red vinyl, and GID versions!

Scheduled to debut at the coming Taipei Toy Festival in October, will Dino make it to this weekend’s Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Con / STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016)? Make your way to Booth AA19 in Artist Alley to find out … if not, there’ll be plenty of cuteness to be had - from fanart postcards and prints, to badges - and perhaps even his first vinyl figure, QiQis to be had!

Shadow Editions of GOLD LIFE Characters by Huck Gee x Mighty Jaxx for #STGCC2016

And while we’ve previously seen promotional image of the Shadow Edition of Huck Gee’s SOUL COLLECTOR, from his GOLD LIFE Series with Mighty Jaxx, the producers have since revealed the figure itself - sporting a much darker hue of the previous image, alongside Shadow Editions of RAKU ‘DAY’ and RAKU ’NIGHT’ figures!

In an edition of 500pcs, these 4-inch/10cm tall PVC figures will debut exclusively via the Mighty Jaxx Booth H3 at this weekend’s Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Con / STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016)!

Huck Gee himself is also an Invited Guest for this event, so purchasing these are a total WIN too, IMHO!


And while no price is revealed, note that the figures unsold will be listed online for sales post-event. Meanwhile, you can now purchase the regular colorways via mightyjaxx.rocks for US$25 each (excluding shipping).

Skulls Blooms by Kyle Kirwan for Sept 10th Sale

Kyle Kirwan sends word that he’ll be releasing a micro-run of five Skully Blooms this Sat (September 10th) via kylewkirwan.storenvy.com at 12pm Eastern to kick off the Halloween season.

Each handmade and hand-painted piece measures 5.5" tall and are priced at US$40 each. Keep an eye out for that one GID chase! Looking pretty neat, alas these Blooms have a much sadder story behind them…

"I had intended to do a full blind box series, but my dog Corinn died, it was really f**king sad and I didn't feel like doing anything. But, Halloween/fall is one of my favourite times of year so I wanted to put something out there to get into the spirit of things."

Custom Lil Alex + SKUM-Kuns for Blackbook Toy @ #STGCC2016

Seen above are skeletonal suits Lil Alex and Dim - Graveyard Edition = previously orderable under Disburst - a limited number of which will be made available at Blackbook Toy’s Booth AA36 at this weekend’s Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Con / STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016)!

We teased them in an earlier feature, today we reveal in full the custom Lil’ Alex and SKUM-kun figures that’ll be made available exclusively via AA36. And while no prices are revealed at this time, they look amazing and I hope to see them in person!

Kenth Toy Works custom one-off Lil Alex (from Frank Kozik’s “A Clockwork Carrot”) called Midnight Fantasy and ILL Fantasy feature a tripped out psychedelic fantasy world aesthetic, limited to only 1 x piece each.



Another series of customs from Kenth Toy Works are these custom painted one-offs of SKUM-kun, with motorcycle-gang motifs = I love them!

"KTW turned SKUM-kun into Japanese Bosozoku(motorcycle gang) called 暴走悪魔怪獣 黒本玩具 罰奴坊威主 (Boso Akuma Kaiju BlackBook Toy Bad Boys) Only 1pc each made. 3unique 4words are written on their Bosozoku uniform. Each colorway is named after Japanese traditional color name, 瑠璃 , 藍錆 , 暗黒 , 紅樺 . Each one comes with mini New Era cap and bandana."

From Chop of Monster Farm comes these SKUM-kun custom painted one-offs featuring the by now iconic aesthetics of Batman and Robin, with this couple called ”Dynamic Duo:Asshole and Prick”! Only 1pc each made. Signed on the fingers like traditional tattoo. Each one comes with mini New Era cap and bandana.



More SKUM-kun custom painted one-offs this time by Knuckle of Little Chop Design, with these 4 x 2colored face SKUM-kun called “Freaky Franken Bros”!

Original design of SKUM-kun was what he painted this time, 2 colored face with buffalo check shirts. Though buffalo check shirts were not made this time. Only 1pc each made.
